The Reagan High School Band of Raiders is Reagan's most active ensemble.  The band performs at all home games, away games (as a pep band), competitions, and parades.

The Band of Raiders teaches the importance of discipline, leadership, cooperation, team work, musicianship, self-motivation, determination, and being the best that you can be.
Band Camp is a two week long period of intense and long rehearsals held at Reagan High School.  The first week is primarily fundamentals, and the second week continues fundamentals but also work on the show and building relationships through activities led by the student leaders.

The Reagan Band of Raiders employs the best staff to work with our students.  The staff includes the band directors, world class colorguard instructors, the finest percussionists, and other outstanding musicians.
One of the most important components of the Reagan Band is the Student Leadership Program.  Student leaders are selected through application, interviews, and auditions, and train throughout the summer at various camps and with the Reagan directors.

Student leaders assist with sectionals, drill rehearsals, prepare music, teach fundamentals, and run team building activities.
The Reagan Band of Raiders is a highly competitive group with an emphasis on improving the band's musicianship, discipline, and overall quality.  The Band of Raiders consistently receives Superior ratings at contests and achieves high scores in all captions.  Since 2005, the band has received over twenty grand championships at contests.  In 2012, the band was one of the first bands in North Carolina to receive a Superior rating at the newly established marching band MPA.
The Reagan Band of Raiders performed in the London New Year's Day Parade in 2016 and represented North Carolina in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC in 2014 and 2018.
The colorguard is the auxiliary group that brings life and color to the half-time production.  Reagan has one of the finest colorguards and winterguard (separate winter group) in the region.  In 2012, 2017, and 2018 the Reagan Winterguard was the CWEA champion!

Auditions for the 2018 colorguard is May 29th-June 1st from 4:30-6:30pm.
